How to roll out fleet branding across many vehicles

6 min read · Updated July 2026

Branding one van is a job. Branding thirty is a logistics project with a design problem inside it. This is the sequence we use for UAE fleets, from artwork system to maintenance, so the last vehicle looks like the first.

Step 1 — Audit the fleet before designing

  • List every model, body type and base colour, with photographs of both sides.
  • Note vehicles due for replacement within 12 months — phase them last.
  • Flag resprayed or damaged panels; film behaves differently on them.
  • Confirm any regulatory or client-site markings that must remain visible.

Step 2 — Build a system, not a layout

The mistake that costs most is designing for the first vehicle and then improvising for the rest. Instead, define rules: logo position and size relative to the door panel, colour block proportion, where the phone number and web address sit, and the minimum clear space.

Applied across sedan, van and truck, that system produces a fleet that reads as one brand even though no two vehicles are identical.

Step 3 — Print in one run

Colour can shift slightly between production runs and film batches. Wherever budget allows, print all fleet film together and store it, even if installation is phased. It is the cheapest consistency insurance available.

Step 4 — Batch the installation

  • Wrap three to five vehicles at a time so operations continue uninterrupted.
  • Start with one pilot vehicle, review it in daylight, and lock the specification before the batch.
  • Schedule around your delivery peaks, not the installer's calendar.
  • Allow curing time before washing or heavy use.

Step 5 — Document and maintain

  • Record film references, Pantone values and panel templates per model.
  • Photograph each completed vehicle for the brand archive.
  • Set a quarterly inspection for lifting edges and UV fade on roof and bonnet.
  • Budget a small annual allowance for panel repairs rather than full re-wraps.

Why design and production together matters here

A fleet is where brand drift becomes visible in traffic. When the same team owns the identity, the artwork system and the installation, there is one colour reference and one specification — not a design studio, a printer and an installer each interpreting a PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How do you keep branding consistent across different vehicle models?

Design a scalable artwork system rather than a per-vehicle layout: fixed logo position relative to the door, a consistent colour block ratio, and defined minimum sizes. Each model is then a template application, not a new design.

How long does it take to brand a whole fleet?

Plan one to two days per vehicle for full wraps, run in batches of three to five so operations continue. A twenty-vehicle fleet typically completes in three to four weeks including design and print.

Do all vehicles need to be wrapped at once?

No, and phasing is often smarter — but print all film from a single production run where possible, because separate runs can vary slightly in colour.

What about vehicles added later?

Keep the artwork system, film specification and supplier consistent. We hold your specification on file so a vehicle added a year later matches the original batch.

How do we maintain a branded fleet?

Hand wash, shade parking where possible, and a quarterly walk-around to catch lifting edges early. Repairing one panel is far cheaper than re-wrapping a vehicle.

Planning a fleet rollout?

Share your vehicle list and brand files and we will return an artwork system, a per-vehicle cost and a batching schedule that keeps your fleet on the road.
