Gifting lead times, MOQs and season planning in Dubai

5 min read · Updated July 2026

Corporate gifting in the UAE fails on calendars far more often than on taste. This is the planning guide we give clients: realistic lead times, what minimum quantities actually depend on, and the four weeks of the year you cannot leave to chance.

Realistic lead times

  • Stocked item, single-colour branding: 2–4 weeks from artwork approval.
  • Stocked item with custom packaging: 4–6 weeks.
  • Imported or made-to-order stock: 6–10 weeks including shipping and clearance.
  • Fully bespoke item or award: 8–12 weeks with a sample round built in.
  • Peak season, any of the above: add two to four weeks.

Minimum quantities depend on the branding method

Clients often ask for the MOQ of a product when the constraint is really the decoration technique and its setup cost.

  • Laser engraving and UV print: typically from 25–50 units.
  • Screen print and pad print: 50–100 units, since screens are set up per colour.
  • Embroidery: 50+ units, with a one-off digitising charge for the file.
  • Custom moulds, bespoke boxes and full manufacture: 300+ units.

The UAE gifting calendar

  • Ramadan and Eid: the largest peak. Start briefing eight to ten weeks before the first day of Ramadan.
  • UAE National Day (December): high demand for national-colour packaging; order by late October.
  • Year-end and New Year client gifting: overlaps with National Day; brief in October.
  • Conference and expo season (October–April): plan per event, but consolidate stock across events to lower unit cost.

How to protect your timeline

  • Send vector artwork and Pantone references with the brief, not after the quote.
  • Approve a physical or digital pre-production sample early rather than debating the final delivery.
  • Name one approver. Committee approval is the single largest source of delay.
  • Order 3–5% above your headcount for damages, late additions and photography.

Where a single supplier helps

When design, branding, packaging and delivery sit with different vendors, every handover is a chance for a date to slip and a colour to shift. We design and produce in-house, so the artwork, the item and the box are approved once against one timeline.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I order corporate gifts in Dubai?

Allow four weeks for stocked items with simple branding, six to eight weeks for custom packaging or imported stock, and ten to twelve weeks around Ramadan, Eid and year-end when every supplier in the UAE is at capacity.

What is the minimum order quantity for branded gifts?

It depends on the branding method rather than the item: engraving and UV print often start at 25–50 units, screen print and embroidery around 50–100, and fully custom manufactured items usually 300+.

Can I order a sample before committing?

Yes, and you should for anything above a modest budget. A pre-production sample with your artwork applied takes a few days and prevents the most expensive category of mistake.

What causes gifting projects to run late?

Almost always artwork approval, not production. Vector files, confirmed Pantone references and a single decision-maker will protect your timeline more than any expedited shipping.

Do you handle delivery and distribution?

Yes — we can deliver in bulk to one address or pack per recipient with individual name cards for distribution across offices.

Have a date you cannot move?

Send us the deadline and the headcount. We will tell you honestly what is achievable and what needs to change to hit it.
